Congratulations to eGovernment firm NIC for making Forbes‘ list of “America’s Fastest Growing Tech Companies.” According to an article released by the Kansas City Business Journal, this Olathe-based company is the only one from the KC area represented on this list.

Forbes analyzed more than 5,000 publicly-traded companies, searching for profitable companies with a minimum revenue of $150 million and a minimum market value of $500 million. Then, Forbes narrowed its list by looking for companies with a 10 percent sales growth for each of the past three fiscal years, and over the latest 12 months. With $181 million in revenue in 2011, and 22 percent sales growth over the past three fiscal years, NIC ranked no. 20 on Forbes‘ list. Read the full story.
